2. U.S. Execution Broadcast Would Be First of Its Kind in History
The United States Pentagon has announced that it will broadcast the December 3 execution by firing squad of Nidal Hasan, the Fort Hood shooter. It is the first-ever execution that will be sanctioned and broadcasted live by any government in history. The broadcast will not only violate all modern international laws and standards but will also be unprecedented because in the United States, public executions were abolished in 1936.
